Monday, October 13th, 2008I was so excited to hear that Allie had found me all the way in Oregon! We talked over email for a few weeks and then I finally got to meet her and Josh in Old Town Pasadena one late afternoon to shoot their engagement session. They’re both really sweet and we hit it off right away. We started their shoot at City Hall in Pasadena and then made our way to certain locations that held special meaning to the couple.
I love the light we found in this stairwell at City Hall!
And then we left City Hall and found some other really neat places to shoot! This is one of my favorites from their session.
And then it was time for a quick dress change so we could catch the last of this gorgeous light!
We found this really neat looking fire station and just had to take some shots!
And then we trekked over to an old bridge for the last shots of the day.
To Allie and Josh, I wish you two all the best and hope you have the wedding that you’ve always dreamed about! I look forward to reading all about it on your blog!

These are perfection! What a fun shoot that must have been. I have a question; do you need permission to shoot in Pasadena? I’ve heard horror stories about that.

hi carol! i don’t think you need permission to shoot in pasadena. i’ve shot engagement sessions and weddings at city hall without problems. in fact, the day i had this session there were two other couples taking their engagement sessions there as well!
and there’s always the saying… i’d rather ask for forgiveness rather than permission.

Sarah, thank you SO much for our gorgeous engagement photos! We had so much fun, and you were an absolute delight to work with. I am a very lucky girl to have such wonderful photos to share with my family and friends.
